Come and see the Llanwenog sheep being sheared as the annual tradition returns to Llanerchaeron.

Live sheep shearing will take place in the pole barn from 10am to 4pm. Follow the journey of the wool as it is made into beautiful wares by the Ceredigion Spinners and Weavers in the stable block.

Enjoy a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and the journey from fleece to fibre.

New Quay Coastguard were tasked in succession yesterday -

At 15:45, the New Quay Coastguard Rescue Team (NQCRT) was tasked alongside the Coastguard Helicopter, Welsh Ambulance Rapid Response Vehicles and Cardigan RNLI to a medical evacuation at Penbryn Beach.
The Coastguard helicopter arrived on scene quickly and the casualty was airlifted for onward medical care.

At 21:06, the team was tasked again to a casualty evacuation from Llangrannog Beach. Upon arrival, the casualty was already receiving care from Llangrannog RNLI Lifeguards, shortly followed by the Welsh Ambulance Rapid Response Vehicle.
NQCRT rapidly established a helicopter landing site on the beach for the Welsh Air Ambulance and provided ongoing support. The team then assisted with the stretcher transfer of the casualty, who was airlifted for further treatment.

An excellent example of multi‑agency emergency response along the Ceredigion coast.

Remember: If you see someone in difficulty along the coast or at sea, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
