We still have the 22nd till 29th May 2026 available. A 7 night stay for £665, for our detached 1860s dog friendly Welsh holiday cottage with its own very secure garden and private off street parking too. On the edge of a quiet historical village in South West Wales with plenty of country dog walks and lots to see and visit locally.

Sleeps upto 4 people ( 2 x double beds, one double upstairs and 1 double downstairs) and we are accepting upto 4 dogs too. 🤗🐾

We're even a short drive to the best award winner dog friendly all round beach Poppits Sands beach ⛱️ 😎 🐾

Our Smithy is a lovely dog friendly cottage in the peaceful quaint village of Drefelin, Drefach Felindre in South West Wales. With a relaxing stream running along side this beautiful Welsh 1860s blacksmiths cottage, it has bags of history and character. With it's own very secure garden. Plus private off street parking too.

Also a bonus for dogs who are scared of Fireworks we live in an area which is Firework FREE, because living near farms and being semi-rural too, a bonus.

Unlike many dog friendly accommodations we don't just allow dogs. As dog lovers ourselves we cater for your dogs. It comes with its own secure dog friendly garden with 6ft fences and we supply dog toys, water and food bowls along with throws and dog towels for after your country walks.

Being in a accessible location there is plenty to see and visit within a 29 minute drive of our historical village.

# There are a few local dog friendly village pubs along with a local convenient store with a post office, barbers and a fish and chip shop all in walking distance....

# 10 mintues drive from market village of Newcastle Emlyn which can supply all your needs such as a dog groomers and cafes, Co-op, charity shops and farmers market.

# 29 minutes from Cardigan bay and New Quay which offers seals and Dolphin spotting along with wonderful boat trips.

# 29 minutes from Carmarthen, our largest main town for Tesco's, Aldi's, cinemas, bowling and restaurants.

# Lots of dogs walks, local nature reserves, waterfalls like Ffynone and Cenarth Falls which are just a 15 minute drive and all year round dog friendly beaches like Poppit Sands beach. There are also incredible family friendly beaches like Pembrey Park and Tresaith all just a short drive.

# Our Smithy Sleeps 4 ( 1 double bed upstairs on the mezzanine and 1 double sofa bed downstairs) All bedding is supplied.

# Maximum of 4 dogs medium/large or 5 smalls dogs (all breeds)

# Log burner along with a large basket of complimentary logs and kindling
