Back to work after a few days at the Anemos Luxury Grand Resort in the Georgioupolis area of Crete. โผ๏ธ This trip was for a travel conference.

I flew into Chania and transferred to the hotel which took no longer than 40 minutes and passed through Souda Bay. Transfers from Heraklion airport take a little longer. On arrival at the hotel, I met with other delegates and then checked in to a deluxe two bedroom family room with private pool which had the amenities you would expect of a 5* hotel๐
Due to the conference timetable and unfortunate weather, I never had the opportunity to experience all of the facilities such as the spa, aqua park, or a la carte restaurants. However, I did dine in both the buffet restaurant which had plenty of choice, and a meze dinner in the beachfront restaurant. We stayed on a premium all inclusive basis which included some international branded drinks. The staff throughout the hotel were very helpful and insisted on helping with things such as luggage by golf buggy and table service in the bars. For anyone wanting to drink late, the upstairs bar is open until 1 am. There is an underpass to the beach bar / restaurant which is a short walk from the hotel entrance. Iโd recommend using the golf buggy service if you have walking difficulties. The beach itself is sandy and there are toilet facilities. The hotel is approximately 2km from Georgioupolis and stands a little remote. Bare this in mind when choosing this hotel. It is however a good choice for couples and families, well worthy of its strong Tripadvisor rating.
