My Tuesday Tonic!
We’re all guilty of chasing the urgent things on our to-do lists — the emails, the last-minute requests, the deadlines that shout the loudest.
But the important, non-urgent work? That’s where the real magic happens… and it’s so often the first thing to slip.
In marketing and communications, staying ahead means protecting time for the bigger, slower, strategic tasks — the ones that don’t ping or flash or demand attention, but that ultimately make you shine.
When we spend all our energy firefighting the urgent, we end up feeling like we’re constantly drowning.
Getting the balance between urgent and important was the best thing I learnt on a time management course in my 20s (eek!) …and it always rings around in my head when the overwhelm sets in.
Shifting the balance, making space for the important, not-urgent work, makes me feel calmer, more intentional, and genuinely productive.
✨ Urgent keeps you afloat.
✨ Important helps you thrive.
Here’s your reminder today to choose both in balance !
