While the weather has been unseasonably windy for the past few days we took the opportunity to help out the lobster hatchery today to release some baby lobsters.
In fact we were able to help them release 1,080 ! 
The lobster hatchery (based in Padstow) do a fantastic job of hatching and rearing thousands of baby lobsters each year.
These are returned to the Sea which helps to support the local lobster fishery.
We usually do about two or three releases for them each year for which we do not charge them. It’s one of the ways for us to be putting back into the Ocean.
Did you know that in the wild out of about the 20,000 eggs that are female lobster will lay each year only two will make it too maturity?
So the lobster hatchery really are helping nature along

We had a spectacular encounter with at least five Risso’s dolphins (grampus griseus) today  whilst out on our four hour “combination trip” these were probably some of the most playful and excited Risso’s I have ever seen, this is probably because they were full and fat on cuttlefish
Also in the vicinity were many dead or dying, cuttlefish on the surface
 Our passengers were extremely lucky and very excited to see these very rare species

We were Diving a long way offshore last weekend and came across this offshore pod of bottlenose dolphins. They were spectacular.

So we had a really exciting morning this morning

a very good regular “spotter”had spotted two killer whales just off “Porth Island”which is very close to us.
My wife and I literally ran up the road which is about 400 yards.
Unfortunately we didn’t see anything,
but that’s not to say they weren’t here!
How exciting? 
The other possibility is that there had been some Risso’s dolphins spotted yesterday up at Padstow, so it is possible that this is what had been,
seen how exciting !!
