Good evening everyone!

Sadly this weekend coming would've been the 19th annual Fish Festival. We made the decision a few months ago to postpone to event due to the uncertainty of what COVID restrictions might be in place at the given time...with the rise in cases in Newquay/Cornwall over the last few weeks we think that was probably for the best!

There are still plenty going-on this weekend in our great little town. So whether you're a local or even down for a holiday check out some of the great eateries we have on offer!

See you next year!

We're so sad to hear of Chrissie's passing.

We don't need to tell you how incredibly brave and strong she was. The work she did for the community and charities alike was testament to the individual she was.

Rest in peace Chrissie x

Very sad to hear this. An absolute legend of the Newquay Rowing Club.

Our thoughts are with Michael's family and friends at this difficult time 😒

Newquay Rowing Club has lost one of its greatest characters. Michael Crocker sadly passed away last night.
Message from his family:

β€œIt is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I need to inform you of the passing of my Uncle Mike Michael Crocker after a short illness he passed away peacefully this evening surrounded by his family, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your kind words and wishes. I would also like to thank the amazing nursing team at the GLU unit at Treliske hospital, who have cared for him exceptionally well.”

Michael has been a huge part of our club in every way. He was a singer, a massive rugby fan, a charity fundraiser, and our MC at many events and was always here to support our rowers. He was immensely proud of his Cornish and Welsh roots. His booming voice could be heard above others and his smile would light up the room. His loss will leave a massive hole in the club that no one will able to fill.
We send our condolences to his family and friends πŸ™πŸ½

We're very sad to announce that we are having to postpone the 2021 Newquay Fish Festival.

With the current COVID situation and with restrictions still in place it is becoming increasingly difficult to book and plan a weekend that not only matches previous years but exceeds them!

Being a not-for-profit event we strive to make each year bigger and better than the last, this along with the health and safety of those who attend, volunteer and help run the event is at the forefront of our minds.

We hope you all stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you back down to the harbour in 2022!

Don't forget there is still a great selection of fish and shellfish available to purchase from the harbour all year round by contacting the individual vessels 🦞
