🦩 BAHAMAS HINTS & TIPS 🦩

Here's a few hints & tips for you when planning your dream holiday to The Bahamas

🦩The best time to visit is between December - April for lots of guaranteed sunshine
🦩June - November is out of season as is classed as the hurricane season. If you are willing to go let's say June or November you will get a much cheaper rate as The Bahamas can be expensive
🦩You can absolutely make the most of this trip stop off in Fort Lauderdale, Cuba, Miami the list is endless
🦩The pig tours are great but some of the naughty ones are nasty, I have a lovely contact who does his own tour to his own island with his own piggies who are well behaved & plus point is this tour is private and it's one of the cheaper ones
🦩Must visit are:
Pink Sands at Harbour Island
Swim with pigs
Visit the Flamingos
🦩Tipping is expected with porters, taxi drivers, tour guides, bartenders & other tourism providers so take small change with you
15% is almost always included in food bills
🦩If you like a lovely night out you'll find that many hotels & taxi drivers will sell discounted club passes
🦩Currency is Bahamian Dollars
🦩Cat Islands Take & Scrape Music Festival is in early June & Junkanoo Festival is on Boxing Day & New Years Day, both are spectacular festivals to see & be part of

✈️ TRAVELING TO THE BAHAMAS ✈️

So today we are looking at traveling to The Bahamas

⌚ The Bahamas is 5 hours behind us so it is possible if you catch a morning flight you could be on the beach by the afternoon 🌴

Currently there are no visas needed for entry although you will need to have:

🦠A Covid PCR test no more than 5 days prior to entry
🦠Children under 10 do not need a test but will need a test to get onto the airline carrier
🧾Health Visa form must be completed no more than 72 hours prior to arrival

✈️ Main airport Lynden Pindling International Airport is situated on the main island of New Providence
From here you can access all of the main islands in The Bahamas

✈️Direct flight from London Heathrow with British Airways with a flight time of just over 9 hours, 4 times a week, but due to covid there is now an interconnecting flight in the US that will then take you direct (this will more than likely resume back to direct flights in time)

✈️Option to fly into other destinations prior to arriving in the Bahamas, you could always fly direct to Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Cuba and spend a few days here taking in the sights and culture

🚢 number of ways to get to the neighbouring islands including domestic flights with Pineapple Air, power boats, private flights and boats or by taxi if you are staying on Paradise island as this has two connecting bridges

🚀With evidence from NASA astronaut Scott Kelly announcing that The Bahamas is "the most beautiful place from space" you would literally travel to the ends of the earth & back to see the wonders of this stunning destination
