One of the biggest surprises in Arnhem? The food scene. 🌱
I’m always so impressed by the Netherlands’ food scene but I was blown away by Arnhem. The city is home to several restaurants recognised by the Michelin Guide, with culinary concepts that are leading the way in sustainable gastronomy through local sourcing, regenerative agriculture and innovative growing methods.
🍽️ At LOCALS, ingredients from Dutch soil take centre stage, with produce sourced locally and even grown in their own Vertical Farm. Every dish celebrated seasonal Dutch produce in creative ways.
🌹 At The Green Rose, chef Jin Hu crafts beautiful tasting menus using ingredients from regenerative agriculture, sustainable Dutch fisheries and nose-to-tail cooking. It’s no surprise the restaurant has earned recognition for its commitment to sustainability.
What impressed me most wasn’t just the quality of the food - it was how sustainability was woven into every course so easily and naturally. Trust me, you’ll want to travel to Arnhem for the food alone 😍🇳🇱
If this is the future of fine dining, I’m all for it!
