I am constantly having to taste test dog friendly pubs!

Taking my job very seriously I headed to the Suffield Arms which is around a 10 minute drive from Farthing Cottage.

It has a traditional pub feel to the front bar but then at the back it transforms into a fantastic tapas restaurant. The food is awesome πŸ‘Œ

Sundays include a choice of roasts as well and these are one of the best in the area.

This is the sister pub to the Gunton Arms and has the same cool art scattered around the walls.

To top it off they are dog friendly!!!!

Struggling to find a holiday cottage that will allow dogs on the bed?

We got you ( just bring your own bedding and it’s no problem)

Miss Zsa Zsa has never been allowed on the bed but she wanted to demonstrate how comfy it is at Farthing Cottage (she will probably get off when she’s too warm!)

Dog friendly in the grounds and some lovely walks here!

Our species of the month for April has to be Bluebells, Hyacinthoides non-scripta.

Bluebells are a real highlight of spring, and thousands of violet-blue bell-shaped sweet-smelling flowers cover the floor of the Great Wood each year. These plants are an indicator of ancient woodland, and are part of the native flora that make up the estate's natural habitats, providing an early source of nectar for butterflies, bees and hoverflies.

During the winter months, our countryside team have been carrying out work to highlight the display. The flowers are just beginning to emerge, but it won't be long before they are in full bloom.

Over the past two years, we've roped alongside the main walkways where the bluebells are, and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone for staying on the paths and keeping their dogs on leads while the flowers are out – it's made a huge difference to the health and beauty of these special native flowers!
