Last week I shared a Reel about being a self-employed Travel Counsellor, and the response was incredible. Thank you to everyone who watched, liked, commented and messaged me. 💛

It made me realise that many people don't actually know what happens behind the scenes when they enquire about a holiday.

What most people see is a quote arriving in their inbox.

What they don't see is the hours of research that often go into creating it.

🛫The flight options.
🌎The destination advice.
🛌The room recommendations.
📆The itinerary planning.
🛑The amendments and tweaks to get everything just right.

As a Travel Counsellor, I'm self-employed and partnered with Travel Counsellors. One thing many people don't realise is that I'm only paid once my clients have booked and travelled.

That means all of the planning, advice, research and support I provide before booking is completely free.

Sometimes putting together the perfect holiday takes a few hours.

Sometimes it takes days.

Occasionally, it can take weeks of conversations, research and adjustments to create exactly the right trip.

And honestly? I love it. ❤️

This is what family holidays are all about ❤️☀️

My lovely clients have just returned from a fantastic week in Turkey and these photos completely sum up why I love helping families plan their holidays.

From relaxing by the pool and enjoying everything their resort had to offer, to taking the Sea to Sky cable car and soaking up those incredible mountain views, they've made memories that will last a lifetime.

I always love receiving holiday photos when my clients return home. Seeing the smiles, hearing about the experiences, and knowing they had an amazing time makes my job so rewarding.

One thing I always say to families when planning holidays… don’t focus ONLY on the cheapest price 👀

Long airport transfers, difficult flight times and trying to squeeze too much into one trip can make travelling feel far more stressful than it needs to be.

Sometimes paying a little extra for convenience, the right hotel location or easier travel days can completely change the experience ☀️

Honestly, the most relaxing holidays often create the best memories 💙
