Day 2 – An Incredible Day on the Road! 🚗🇩🇪

Another fantastic day of our Dolomites adventure!

Today's route took us beneath the impressive Vianden Castle, onto the unrestricted German Autobahn, before enjoying one of Germany's best driving roads – the legendary B48, also known as the "German Tail of the Dragon."

This evening we're staying at the incredible V8 Hotel Motorworld, the perfect place for any car enthusiast to unwind after a brilliant day behind the wheel.

The trip is gathering momentum already, and we can't wait to share more from the road over the coming days! 🇮🇹⛰️

Day 1 – The Adventure Begins 🇧🇪🚗

And we're off! ☀️

The Dolomites Road Trip is officially underway, and what a fantastic start we've had. Great weather, great driving through Belgium, and a beautiful hotel to round off the first day together.

It's always brilliant to meet everyone, settle into the tour, and get excited for what's to come.

What a journey! 🇸🇰🇵🇱🇨🇿🇩🇪

Over the past two weeks, our Slovakia & The Tatras tour has taken us through some of the most spectacular scenery and fascinating destinations in Europe.

From the stunning roads of the Slovakian National Parks and the breathtaking Tatra Mountains, to the fairytale surroundings of Bojnice Castle, the incredible landscapes of Czech Switzerland National Park, and the visit to Auschwitz & Birkenau, this trip has delivered memories that will last a lifetime.

But as always, it's not just about the roads.

It's about the people.

One of the things we're most proud of at Making Tracks is the community we've built. Bringing together like-minded enthusiasts, sharing great drives, unique experiences, plenty of laughs, and creating friendships along the way is what these trips are all about. That's a wrap on Slovakia & The Tatras!

What a trip it has been.

From incredible roads and stunning scenery to fascinating history, unique experiences and plenty of laughs along the way. Above all, it's been the fantastic company that has made it so special.

As our journey came to an end, everyone headed off on their own adventures to suit their schedules. Some detoured to Cologne, others enjoyed an extra night in Belgium, while a few stopped for lunch in beautiful Monschau before making their way to Calais. Some diverted to the Porsche Museum and Nürburgring, and others are staying on in Germany, winding their way down the Rhine through picturesque towns before meeting us again for our Dolomites trip.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this such a memorable tour.

Day 14 – History & Homeward Bound 🇩🇪🚗

Today we crossed the former Iron Curtain near Herleshausen, following part of the Green Belt before stopping for lunch in the beautiful city of Wetzlar.

From there, we continued through the Rhineland, passing the picturesque Seven Mountains before arriving at the historic Clostermanns Hof.

A day of great roads, history and wonderful company.

Day 13 – Castles, Culture & Cobbled Streets 🏰🇩🇪

Today's route took us to the beautiful city of Erfurt, where there was time to explore its historic streets and soak up the atmosphere.

Along the way, we stopped for lunch at the spectacular three clifftop castles of Dornburg-Camburg – a stunning setting and the perfect place to pause before continuing our journey.

Another relaxed day filled with great scenery, fascinating places and even better company.

Today was all about enjoying some well-earned free time.

Some chose to relax and unwind, others headed out for a scenic drive, a few explored the beautiful city of Dresden, while some made the most of a visit to the VW Customer Experience.

No fixed plans, no pressure – just the freedom to enjoy the day exactly how you wanted.

Day 11 – Bohemian Roads & Glass Blowing

Today's route treated us to more fantastic driving, winding through the mountain passes, rolling hills and forests of Bohemia, with beautiful scenery around every corner.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly our visit to the local glass museum, where many of the group had the chance to try their hand at the art of glass blowing. A unique experience, plenty of smiles, and a great way to round off another brilliant day on tour.
