“We recently went on the Dolomites road trip with Making Tracks - Ultimate Road Trips. This was our 10th escorted driving holiday, but the first with Making Tracks. Throughout the trip, the organisation was excellent, with Mike and Marco working together seamlessly to ensure all aspects of the trip went to plan. Mike led each drive out at a good pace, with constant flow of information through the radios, whilst Marco often went ahead to secure parking on the route, plus welcoming us in a similar way to each hotel. All the hotels were of a good standard and the route in general took us on some fantastic driving roads. Despite the pressure of leading a relatively large group of cars, Mike was always polite, friendly and helpful on the road. We have already booked a trip with Making Tracks next year and we are really looking forward to it, and also seeing what they come up with for 2028. We would highly recommend Making Tracks - Ultimate Road Trips from the experience we received during this trip.”

NORTHERN BALKANS | 12–23 SEPTEMBER 2027 🚗🏔️

This trip is the perfect balance between incredible roads and time to relax and enjoy where you've arrived.

That's exactly what we've built into our Northern Balkans adventure.

After crossing Europe, exploring the Audi Museum, visiting the private Porsche Museum and tackling the Katschberg Pass, we'll head into Slovenia's Triglavski National Park for three nights.

🌿 Days 4 & 5 are yours to relax. Take a scenic drive through the mountains, visit Lake Bled, explore Ljubljana, or simply enjoy some downtime.
Then we head to the Adriatic coast and our spa hotel near Piran.

🌊 Days 7 & 8 are all about relaxation. Two nights without packing your suitcase, with Piran and the Adriatic Sea on your doorstep. You can explore the beautiful coastal town, enjoy the beach, or join us on scenic drives into Croatia.

Then it's time to get back behind the wheel...

🍷 Day 9 – Wine & Mountains. Through Slovenia's wine region, around the Julian Alps and over the alpine crossing into Austria.

🏔️ Day 10 – Grossglockner. A dawn run up the famous Grossglockner pass, with incredible viewpoints and the Franz Josef Glacier along the way.
