Starting this week with a 'Thank you' themed box of Vanilla cupcakes ~ light Vanilla sponge topped with a rose swirl of pink Swiss Meringue buttercream and decorated with hand-designed fondant toppers. For some very lucky nursery staff x

Rounding off my week with another box of cupcakes ~ Chocolate and Vanilla decorated with 'Lord of the Rings' themed fondant toppers. Now I had to look back and see just when I was last asked to make a 'Lord of the Rings' themed order ~ can you believe it was 2013! A lot has changed in the cake world since then, lots of cupcakes nowadays are decorated with cardboard toppers or cut-outs, sadly very few people seem to work with fondant, but designing & making these only reaffirmed my love of creating themed fondant toppers so you won't be seeing me changing my ways any time soon.... x

An order of Classic Vanilla ~ nothing fancy, no bells, no whistles, just a light fluffy Vanilla sponge topped with a rose swirl of silky Madagascan Vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and finished with flourish of dainty white sprinkles. Ordered for a local church group treat ~ lucky parishioners 😉 x
