East Midlands Equine Horse Transport

East Midlands Equine Horse Transport I have had an interest in horses and ponies since childhood and have worked with them most of my life.
(294)

At one point I was working for Fred, Mary and David Broom as a groom and my interest continued. I then started breaking and schooling and solving problems with other people’s horses. In 1993 I went to work for a dealer, breaking, schooling, competing etc, and in 1995 I started my company East Midlands Equine; in the first instance, initially as a horse transport company. I had seen for myself ove

r the years how the way in which horses were loaded and transported could be improved and this is what I set out to achieve. My ethos is that the horse always comes first. 5 years later My Company expanded to include the other side of my passion – schooling, breaking – and for 26 years my company has grown from strength to strength. I have some excellent staff that understands my way of looking after and working the horse, either on livery, in for behavioural problems, breaking, schooling or competing for owners.

Our first move of the day for lovely Hugo from Blackwell Derbyshire to chine House vets in Sileby Leicestershire. He has not been loaded or travelled since he arrived as a foal now standing 16.2hh. Bless him he was a nervous chap when he saw the ramp but given a little time he loaded himself for us, and he travelled perfectly

I had been recommended to the owner as Pony had an accident on a previous move, and they have not been. Able to load or travel since
We gave her a bit of vet prescribed sedation
Then we took our time to load her
And as you can see from the pictures she travelled beautifully and came off lorry cool and calm
