Just a few photos of some of our exhibits, and others, at the 2026 AEC Rally held at Newark Showground over the weekend. What a fantastic event it turned out to be!

It was great to spend time with so many like-minded enthusiasts, all brought together by a shared passion for commercial vehicles and their history. The rally was blessed with superb weather throughout, which made for a brilliant atmosphere across the whole weekend.

Alongside the impressive exhibits and displays, there was plenty of good food, drink, laughter, and conversation to enjoy — all topped off by excellent company from fellow owners, exhibitors, and visitors alike.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat and helped make the weekend such an enjoyable and memorable occasion. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Digging out some of the old girls today in readiness for the 2026 AEC Rally at Newark Showground over this Bank Holiday Weekend. We’ll be exhibiting a selection of our heritage buses and coaches, so why don’t you pop down and see us if you get a chance. A superb event organised by some great people where all makes, models, shapes, sizes and age of commercial vehicles will be on show.

ENGLISH HERITAGE, THE MANSION & THE OUTSTANDING GARDENS of WREST PARK

The house at Wrest Park is a 19th-century mansion in the style of a French chateau, but its grand gardens are its real glory. Together, they tell a story of 300 years of garden design – and they’re a great place for a fantastic day out. Right in front of the house you’ll find formal gardens, the Long Water and the Archer Pavilion. Elsewhere you can explore the enchanting Bath House; the Chinese Bridge and Chinese Temple; and stroll along the intricate woodland paths of the 18th-century Great Garden. All this remarkable garden history is being brought to life in a 20-year restoration project. You can also visit the unfurnished but opulently decorated state rooms inside the mansion. The spacious café within the Walled Garden offers locally sourced produce, with indoor and outdoor seating. Feeling peckish? Head to the Wrest Park café with a selection of hot and cold meals and snacks, including homemade soup, and freshly made sandwiches.

The Air Show will commemorate our history displaying assets in the Vintage and Victory Villages; Celebrate the work of the Royal Air Force, NATO Allies and Partner nations; And seek to inspire the next generation by showcasing how the Armed Forces innovate together and with our Defence partners. We hope today provides an exhilarating experience for every member of the family. Pretend to be a fast jet pilot with our fascinating static displays and open cockpits, explore exciting careers in the STEM hangars, meet historic icons in the Vintage and Victory Villages, discover a range of memorabilia, and feel the power as awesome aircraft fly overhead.

In complete contrast to our previous posts with our award winning coaches at the UK Coach Rally. We now focus on the other end of our fleet. Here’s VWA 290L, sitting patiently in our yard today, awaiting her departure on Saturday to Crich. We’ll be attending the AEC Memorial Rally in Newark Showground over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend where a selection of our heritage and modern fleet will be on display. The colours and ORIGINAL beautiful pearlescent glitter fleck paintwork on our ex. Go Goodwin TX17 Astronef - 9 NSS never cease to amaze us, especially in this amazing April weather spell! It’s really difficult to catch all her glory on camera, but she’s not looking too bad whilst she basks in the sun today!
