Day 5 – Welcome to Malta – we started with a visit to Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village on the south east coast, known for the colourful luzzu boats, harbour and fresh seafood restaurants along the harbour (plus if you visit on a Sunday there’s the fish market). Before hopping on the local bus back to Valletta, Malta’s capital, a UNESCO World Heritage city with historic architecture at every turn so much to see and explore. Malta works beautifully for:
• Culture lovers (Valletta, Mdina, temples) – if calling in for day from a cruise, all within walking distance from the ship
• Coastal explorers (Blue Grotto, Dingli Cliffs)
• Families (Popeye Village, Aquarium)
• Couples (Upper Barrakka sunsets, Mdina evenings)

Day 4 – we arrived in Sicily - dramatic landscapes, natural wonders, history, culture and food….. Mount Etna – stands out, one of Europe’s most active volcano, you can take the cable car, hike and enjoy the lunar like scenery. Or choose to check-out a beach from San Vito Lo Capo to the bays around Taormina. You’ll find Incredible history & culture - Sicily is a blend of Greek, Roman, Arab, Norman and Spanish influences, nowhere else in Italy feels quite like it.
• Greek temples at Agrigento and Segesta
• Roman mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale
• Norman cathedrals in Palermo, Monreale and Cefalù
• Baroque towns like Noto, Ragusa and Modica

It’s a paradise for travellers who love culture, architecture and food offering some of the best foodie regions in Italy. You’ll find it cheaper than Italy with a more relaxed pace. We docked at Messina and walked into the main town, we decided to hop on/off the sightseeing bus (Red Route beach focus, Blue Route town focus), cost 15 euros for one route, or 20 euros for both (bargain)!

Day 3 – A day trip to Capri - dramatic coastlines, roman legends, and that unmistakable Mediterranean glamour. Sitting just off the Sorrento Peninsula in the Gulf of Naples, it’s the island where every view feels like a postcard. And when it comes to shopping? Capri delivers - Boutiques line the cobbled streets, designer labels sit alongside chic local artisans and of course — "Limoncello" is everywhere you turn. We visited Anacapri, travelled up the narrow roads on one of the dinky buses, and took a ride on the chairlift (which takes about 14 minutes, costs around 15 euros) and the views are amazing.

Day 2 Arrived at Genoa – MSC Excursion to Camogli + Portofino.

The gateway to the Italian Riviera, arrived in the Port of Genoa which is one of the largest in Italy. Cruises to Genoa offer the chance to explore its many sights, including Genoa Aquarium, designed by architect Renzo Piano, and the city’s picturesque Boccadasse district, a lakeside fishing village. Genoa excursions also offer the opportunity to taste signature dishes made from fresh ingredients, such as pesto Genovese and focaccia (it tastes really good)!

So lucky today, two elegant towns on the Italian Riviera – first stop called at Camogli - a very beautiful colorful fishing village backed by wooded hills on the Ligurian coast. The second stop, leaving the harbour of Camogli it was a 45-minute boat ride onto Portofino, one of the most famously photogenic pastel-painted towns, with small boats in the marina, orange, red and pink townhouses lining the bay.

A week's cruising around the Mediterranean on the MSC World Europa which is a massive, highly innovative cruise ship that accommodates up to 6,762 passengers! So maybe you need to think about timing but to be fair across the 22 decks you can find quiet spaces (just maybe not on sea days) 😂Launched in late 2022 as MSC's first World-class vessel, she stands out as one of the largest and most environmentally efficient passenger ships in the world 😅
We sailed from Barcelona and Marseille was our first port 😎

What an incredible day at the Wedding Fayre. We joined some truly amazing suppliers, met so many lovely couples, and spent the day chatting all things honeymoons, weddings abroad, minimoons and hen & stag escapes.

Safaris definitely stole the spotlight today — so many of you dreaming of wildlife, sunsets and once‑in‑a‑lifetime adventures.

A huge thank you to Little Rain for hosting such a fantastic event.
