Wowser what a summer holiday. I've been a little here there and everywhere. Time to review!!!
Tenerife!!! Love of hate it... it's always going to be popular for sun worshipers, the young and the families. This year we decided view over madness as that suits my kids more... but maybe not the legs as much.
Panoramica Heights is a KN hotel with arguably the best views of Fanabe, Adeje, Las Americas to Las Christianos. We could have squeezed us in to a 1 bed studio. But we opted for the upgrade for about €30 a night more for a 3 bedroom giving us what we know know wasn't just a room but a whole house with 2 toilets and a yard to ourselves.
Now that walk never happened up the hill but down only took about 15/20 mins straight into Adeje so don't be put off. Taxis were fairly cheap using the Taxi click app!
On site is a pool and little bar restaurant.
There is also a mini supermarket but it isn't far from the supermarkets.
We had a full-sized fridge, freezer, microwave 3 ring hob, kettle, toaster and oven. Towels and bedding changed on request whenever we wanted.
Happy hour was a nice bonus of 2 for 1 cocktails and beers.
Please take note of the stunning views of sunset from various places onsite not just our room/house.
Did I mention we also got 4 sundowners in our yard for private use.
No kids club or entertainment but the pool was open later.... side not the lifeguard does finish at 5/6pm though

Guess who is back on her travels... this time it's kids included.
Tonight we are staying in a travelodge in Halesowen near my daughters grandparents. Tomorrow we are flying from BHX ( birmingham) bring one the extra sunshine

Shortly en route to Manchester airport for a short trip to Beauvais, France. Not the kind of trip we want to take but somewhere that has been described as beautiful and I look forward to it.
But it did get me thinking what type of flyer are you?
I see so many dressed to the nines ready to leave the plane and make the most of their day
This is not me.... I'm more...
1. Try to remember not to wear metal
2. Baggy clothes. I dont care how I look.
3. Zero make up barely brush my hair. I want to be totally comfortable.

New Place, Southampton
Wanted to show you some positivity after my yukky hotel.
This place was absolutely stunning and quite honestly great value for money! Only wish we had more time to use the facilities and we will definitely be using them again.
On arrival which was quite late it was beautifully lit us and the staff we waiting for us ( pre phoned to state our delay) to make it a quick easy transaction.
In the morning we walked the grounds and had a cup of tea. Then drank it in the gardens that were as beautiful in the daylight.
There is a map given and a large one outside the reception.
The hotel boasts a pool and gym.... wish we had time to use and the rooms were perfect for a cosy stay over.
We booked because we were going to a concert in Southampton but using the Ferry from Portsmouth so it was ideally located for either destination.
My only minor thing was the name was just now selling the grandure of the hotel

Sometimes you just have to be honest
"Snoozeden" in Windsor is an absolute No!
I like to think I'm satisfied with basic kind of needs hotel.
Thus was neither clean, nor comfortable
Wouldn't let us in the property until the pre rental agreement was signed.... yet didn't pre send it.
We were almost an hour before we had the keys but it was a tight schedule for our evening plans so we only saw the real yukky on return at 1am.
No toilet roll. No "den" like facilities. Hairs, dirt and mould everywhere. They would not answer when we call to them through their " private " but open door. So we decided to leave. I paid £133 for 2 nights and when I couldn't shower or even go for a toilet visit we decided it was time to leave. So paid for a new hotel.

WOWZER!!! What can I say about my first ever Extreme day out.
We are exhausted but I accomplished my dream of going for lunch in Dublin. We did get a few extra activities in but I will be back as there is so much more to see and do! Sierra fantastic company.

It's been so long I want to see how London's changed and he wants to show me where he lived as a teen.
So very excited! It will be a blend of hotel and camper to give us chance of a hot shower every now and then.
I do like a solo travel but it is also nice to share it sometimes

Off on another overnight adventure this weekend. Taking a couple of teens away to Manchester. It's one of theirs 14th birthday and I cannot wait to try remember what that level of energy is like.
Any food place recommendations are absolutely appreciated I really don't want maccys 🫣

This is the Dream Lodge in Stanwell village. Deceptively quaint and a stones throw from Heathrow airport. If you are wanting a little more comfort and a little less standard airport hotel it's a good shout. However there were a few little niggles everything breakfast was openly Tesco value. Be it crisps, hot drinks, bread, all breakfast if I'm honest. No fruit juices and only full fat or almond milk. That was leaving a lot to be desired.
When we arrived we were greeted by many signs of things you aren't allowed and must do's. No food or drink in rooms, no outside shoes in rooms, no key without deposit, extra £10 to park ( not explained prior to booking but I might have missed that).
The property has much potential and a firm mattress in the room but quite a lot of rules that are honestly quite unreasonable. Because who doesn't want to have a cuppa in their room? That said it cost £68 for one night and was clean.
We used it only to sleep in as we were going into London and leaving first thing.
