We are exhausted but I accomplished my dream of going for lunch in Dublin. We did get a few extra activities in but I will be back as there is so much more to see and do! Sierra fantastic company.

Off on another overnight adventure this weekend. Taking a couple of teens away to Manchester. It's one of theirs 14th birthday and I cannot wait to try remember what that level of energy is like.

This is the Dream Lodge in Stanwell village. Deceptively quaint and a stones throw from Heathrow airport. If you are wanting a little more comfort and a little less standard airport hotel it's a good shout. However there were a few little niggles everything breakfast was openly Tesco value. Be it crisps, hot drinks, bread, all breakfast if I'm honest. No fruit juices and only full fat or almond milk. That was leaving a lot to be desired.
When we arrived we were greeted by many signs of things you aren't allowed and must do's. No food or drink in rooms, no outside shoes in rooms, no key without deposit, extra £10 to park ( not explained prior to booking but I might have missed that).
The property has much potential and a firm mattress in the room but quite a lot of rules that are honestly quite unreasonable. Because who doesn't want to have a cuppa in their room? That said it cost £68 for one night and was clean.
We used it only to sleep in as we were going into London and leaving first thing.

So last week was all about walking and fresh air. Who would have thought Nottinghamshire had such a beautiful surrounding. £6 entrance fee to the car park at Newstead Abbey and all this to walk around.

very determined to see more of England this year. I had a beautiful trip to Skegness to see more of our own natural sites. Been a bit slow to upload the pictures. but we managed 10 mile walk half of which is coastal. in-between skegness and Ingoldmels is fairly untouched view and although a little fresh all that was needed was a jacket.
next up will be a trip to Newstead Abbey and the grounds

Lovely weekend where we " reset" the camper. I have been researching and apparently this is normal to do. Some of the tiles have lifted so I will replace them ( stick and peel type good old wash down of the sides and floors, washing the stored fabrics to freshen them up, gluing the seals...all super excited stuff. I dont have electric in the van but my plan is on longer trips have a few odd night stays in hotels to recharge power supplies. Going to skegness to check out our updates this weekend. And see what need doing before our big trip in may/June.
Exciting stuff ahead

How is everyone coping with half term?!?!
Its Hump day! Half way through it.
Are you a pre-planner? Or are you winging it.
The past 2 Feb half terms we went to Disneyland in Paris, so it's quiet for us!
Need to get my planning back on plan for next year! I. Always looking for suggestions and experiences of places you have been be it days or trips. X
