Being a Travel Consultant isn’t just my job, it is my absolute passion! I have always been intrigued by exploring new destinations and sampling different cultures and have been fortunate enough to experience some amazing trips. I therefore appreciate first-hand how important it is to make memories that last a lifetime. After obtaining my degree in International Tourism Management at Leeds, I took a gap year to embark on a world trip. Travelling through Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and America gave me a wealth of first-hand knowledge. Soon after my return, I joined Trailfinders, an award-winning travel company in order to continue to indulge my love of travel. I was then fortunate enough to tick many more destinations off my bucket list, with highlights being visits to Iguassu Falls in Brazil, the Taj Mahal in India and viewing the Big 5 in South Africa. I spent 9 years working as a Tailor-made Travel Consultant and Supervisor. My expertise lies in First & Business travel although I’m more than happy to arrange any type of trip. What I love most about working for Travel Counsellors is that I am able to take time to truly get to know you on a personal level and understand exactly what your requirements are. I can then tailor-make a unique and bespoke itinerary especially for you. Booking a holiday is a very personal (and I believe exciting) experience so it’s imperative to get it right! As an independent agent, I have the freedom and flexibility to find you the perfect holiday match as well as offer you impartial advice along the way. I have no ties or loyalties with specific suppliers – my loyalties lie firmly with you. I work from my home office in Beeston so have the time and flexibility to devote to you, whatever time of the day you need it. As a busy working mum of 3 young children myself, I fully understand that standard office hours are not always convenient! 🌍 Travel is about so much more than the places you visit…

Some of my favourite travel memories have come from the experiences that allow you to really immerse yourself in a destination — meeting local people, discovering different traditions, tasting new flavours and seeing everyday life from a completely different perspective.

From the incredible temples and traditions of Japan, the colourful souks and culture of Morocco, the bustling streets and flavours of Vietnam, and the incredible diversity of India…

To experiencing the warmth and traditions of Fiji, or getting a glimpse into Botswana’s unique culture and way of life alongside its incredible wildlife.

These are the moments that often stay with you long after you’ve arrived home ❤️.

“Bespoke holidays are always more expensive, aren’t they?”

Well… not necessarily! 👀

Last week, some regular clients came to me wanting to plan a tailor-made trip around Eastern Canada. They had found a group tour they loved the look of, but there were a few things they wanted to change — they weren’t keen on some of the included excursions and wanted to upgrade their flights to Premium Economy.

They expected a tailor-made version of the trip to cost around double the price of the group tour.

But after putting everything together, I was able to offer them:

✈️ Direct Premium Economy flights
🏨 The same hotels
🚆 The trains between destinations
🗺️ Excursions chosen to suit them
🚗 Private airport transfers
➕ And a longer trip

And the final price?

Over £1,000 LESS than the standard group tour!

It’s a great example of why it’s always worth asking a travel professional to price up the trip you actually want, rather than assuming the tailor-made option will cost more.

I can see live flight availability, keep an eye out for airline sales, check the latest hotel offers, and build the itinerary around you — rather than fitting you into a set itinerary.

And, of course, you also have me there to look after everything before you travel and while you’re away if you need me.

A holiday designed around you, with the support of a travel professional, and sometimes for less than the “off-the-shelf” option.

🌍✈️ Happy National Travel Agent Day! ✈️🌍

Today is all about celebrating the people who turn “I’d love to go there one day” into “I can’t believe we’re actually here!”

From finding those special hotels and hidden gems, to taking the stress out of all the little details, I absolutely love helping my clients create holidays they’ll remember for years to come.

A huge thank you to every client who trusts me with their precious holiday time — and to all the amazing people in the travel industry who make the magic happen behind the scenes.

48 hours in Bangkok with the kids 🇹🇭✨

We only had 48 hours in Bangkok, so our aim was to give the kids a proper taste of this incredible city — a mix of culture, food, markets, river life and a few of the things they’d spotted all over TikTok!

Here’s what we managed to squeeze in ....

🛕 Wat Pho – one of Bangkok’s most famous temples and home to the enormous Reclining Buddha.

🚤 Chao Phraya River – we hopped on and off the public boat, which was such an easy (and fun!) way to see the city from the water.

🌶️ Street food – plenty of sampling along the way… because you can’t visit Bangkok without trying the street food!

🍜 7-Eleven viral food tasting – tried many of the Thai 7-Eleven foods that have taken over TikTok. If you know, you know! 😂🇹🇭

🍽️ Dinner at Asiatique – we finished one evening with dinner on a boat at Asiatique, amazing Thai tapas with the city lit up around us.

🛍️ Chatuchak Market – a wander around the world’s largest weekend market. It’s HUGE, so we only managed a bit before we went back to the hotel pool.

🚇 MRT – we embraced Bangkok’s high-speed, air-conditioned MRT to escape the heat and get around the city quickly.

🛒 The TikTok-famous squishy mall – naturally, we had to find it for Charlie!

🛺 Tuk tuk ride – a slightly crazy, noisy and chaotic ride through the streets of Bangkok… exactly what the kids wanted!

🍸 Octave Rooftop Bar – cocktails at sunset with incredible views across Bangkok. Definitely one of my favourite moments.

🏊‍♀️ And some downtime! We stayed at the fabulous Chatrium Riverside Bangkok, which meant we could retreat to the pool, cool off and escape the madness of the city whenever we needed to.

And that’s the thing I loved most about doing Bangkok as a family — you can pack so much into just 48 hours, but you also need somewhere lovely to come back to and switch off.

It was as busy, hot, noisy, and completely bonkers as I remembered it to be ...… but we all absolutely loved it ❤️

Would I recommend Bangkok with children? Absolutely. Just embrace the chaos and don’t try to do everything! 😍

✨ My out of office is officially on! ✈️

We're heading off on our family adventure to Thailand, and I can't wait to show the kids everything this incredible country has to offer.

🌴 Holiday Notice 🌴

When one of my best clients got in touch looking for a last-minute July holiday, I was thinking a city break... or maybe a fly-and-flop beach escape.

Nope... she had her heart set on an Arctic expedition cruise! ❄️🚢

Today I'm sending out their travel documents as they get ready to fly to Copenhagen before continuing to Longyearbyen, where they'll embark on a luxury Arctic expedition with Swan Hellenic.

They're about to experience breathtaking glaciers, dramatic fjords, incredible wildlife and one of the most remote and awe-inspiring regions on Earth.

I can't wait to follow their journey!
