It’s been a while since I posted anything but we have been busy over these quiet months and with less bookings why not get some jobs done and make some home improvements?

Thank you to my son Andrew Bothwell for panelling my hallway. No previous experience at all, just careful measuring and lining it all up. I honestly think he enjoyed himself but he wont admit it 😜 I don’t think he will be giving up his full time job any time soon though 🚜🐄 🚛 🤣🤣

When that was all done my lovely sister in law Susan Bothwell helped with her wall papering skills and put the final touch to it all. I got a lesson on the tips and tricks of putting wallpaper up so I hope to put this to good use at some point in the future.

The wallpaper comes from Dunelm and is called Akina Floral and it has completely changed the look of the hallway don’t you think?

What a day we had yesterday.
Moo Cow Cottage was part of a very special day for a lovely family whose daughter got married in the area.
Wow to everyone who looked amazing.
Let’s just say it’s not something we see here every day 🤣 🐄 🚜

A lot of our guests love to visit Rutland Water so yesterday I took Dorothy Elliott and Rodney Elliott from Drumgoon Dairy in South Dakota along to see for themselves. We enjoyed a lovely walk and finished the walk with a sit down and cold drinks from the coffee shop on site, the weather was absolutely beautiful which is always a bonus.
This is a highly recommended place for guests to visit whilst staying at Moo Cow Cottage with it being just 15 mins away.

A lovely afternoon was spent today visiting Barnsdale Gardens in our lovely county of Rutland. Featuring 38 themed gardens, it was lovely to walk around and see all the beautiful features it had to offer. The added bonus was the beautiful weather and having the company of my lovely sister in law Dorothy Elliott to enjoy it with. I was even more amazed at how well she knows her plants. 😉
