🌿✨ Have you discovered the Fairy Bridge at Glen Creran?

Just a short drive from Melfort Village, this magical moss-covered stone bridge hidden deep in ancient woodland is one of Argyll's best-kept secret - and right now, with the bluebells in their last foray of bloom, it's absolutely breathtaking.

The walk is a gentle 2.5-mile loop from Elleric car park at the end of Glen Creran, taking around 1–1.5 hours. You'll follow pine marten-marked trails through the beautiful oak and birch woodland of Coille Mheadonach, past waterfalls and gorgeous glen views. The path gets a little muddy towards the end (all part of the fun!) before arriving at the Fairy Bridge, a truly special spot. While you're there, don't miss the short detour to see Fas na Cloiche, a huge pine tree growing straight out of the top of a boulder. 🌲

It's a brilliant walk for families, dogs very much welcome, and the perfect way to spend a morning or afternoon during your stay with us.

πŸ“ Start: Elleric car park, Glen Creran
πŸ₯Ύ Distance: 4km / 2.5 miles
⏱ Time: 1–1.5 hours

πŸ€” Do you know your Argyll islands?

This Island is the smallest permanently inhabited island in the Inner Hebrides.

Located in the Firth of Lorn. It’s known for its rich slate mining history and stunning natural landscapes.

But can you name it❓

Happy birthday to the Wee Fish Van! We love that guests can pick up their fresh seafood on Wednesdays when the van stops at Melfort Village.

What will you be buying this week? πŸŸπŸ¦žπŸ¦€πŸ¦

The "Wee Fish Van" is 3 years old.

Unbelievable, We started this 1 year after opening in Cumbernauld as we kept getting asked for Fish!!!

Now we stop at many places throughout Argyll and Bute and seem to getting more and more popular.

Thanks to everyone that supports us, it's very much appreciated and without our customers and amazing reputable suppliers we would never be able to do it.

We are always trying to improve and bring the best produce available.

Here's to the next 3 years.

Alison, Ross & Oor Charlie!!
