I tried putting a couple of posts on before Easter but they didn't appear. It's a shame as there were photos of the Hunt The Bunny run in the morning and the Egg Rolling competitions down at the slipway in the afternoon. If I manage to get this post up and running I will try to post the photos later on.
Hoping everyone had a lovely Easter. All I can say is you should have been here as the weather was lovely. Lots of sunshine on Easter Day.

Hello everyone. It's a long time since I last posted due to computer problems with facebook who for some reason never published our posts from the latter part of last year.
We will open this year on Friday 29th March, which is Good Friday, so we will be straight into Easter festivities with Hunt The Bunny on Easter morning and rolling your egg down the slipway in the afternoon. Hope to see you all there.
After all the rain this last couple of months, the snowdrops are now flowered on site and the daffodils are beginning to show. North Ledaig always looks good in the Spring with all the bulbs flowering. After all the storms and wind luckily we didn't have too much damage on site although we lost a tree on the corner of pitch 2601 which we will replace.
We are currently looking at designing a new page for our website listing all the details for up and coming events in the area. For example The Waverley will be coming up to Oban at the end of May and doing some tours round the area, so we will have info. on this page nearer the time. Keep watching.
Look forward to seeing you all soon.

By now you will have watched all the pomp and ceremony of the king's coronation today. To celebrate the event here we are holding an afternoon tea tomorrow with scones & clotted cream. It will be held between 2.00pm & 3.00pm in the area behind the reception office building. There will be a collection for Alzheimers Scotland.
Hope you can come along. It's very informal and being held for a good cause.

Sorry it's taken me so long to post some pix of our Easter activities last Sunday. As you can see there were plenty of people gathering round the shop to go and "Hunt the Bunny". The weather was dry and the sun came out for everyone running round the park. It was a bit breezy for the afternoon activities down at the slipway, but the weather held. There were lots of colourful and imaginative entries for the Decorating the Egg competition, and healthy competition when it came to the Egg rolling down the slipway! The Egg and Spoon Race and the 3-legged Race drew plenty of runners, and the current Adult champions held off all challengers and held on to their unbeaten title for another year.
Many thanks to all who joined in our activities and hope you all took an easter egg out of my basket. Thanks also to Helene, our newest member of staff, who organised "Hunt the Bunny", and all the rest of the staff who held the fort while Peter & I were down at the slipway.
Unfortunately, I didn't take any pix down at the slipway in the afternoon so I hope all of you who did will post them on here.
Hope you all enjoyed the day and we'll see you back for more Easter fun next year.

Hi there folks. Well it's Good Friday and the weather is Fab - u - Lous! The sun is beating down and there's not a cloud in the sky. If you have a caravan we still have just a few spaces left. Sadly no motorhome pitches left for the weekend. Bring the kids, have a great weekend, "Hunt The Bunny" on Sunday. Come and join us.

It's a lovely sunny day here for Maundy Thursday, and apparently the weather is set fair for the Easter weekend. So no excuses for not coming to the Site office at 11.00am on Sunday morning to "Hunt the Bunny" and run round. There is a prize for everyone, Mums, Dads, Grannies and Grandpas - all get to dip into my Easter Egg basket.
So this is the list of competitions happening on Easter Sunday for everyone on site to join in.

1. Draw an Easter Picture
2. Decorate an egg
3. Hunt the Bunny -meet in the Site Office at 11.00am and bring a pen with you.

After lunch meet down at the slipway at 2.30pm.
Judging of the Colouring Competitions
Judging of the Decorate the Egg Competition.

And then its Rolling The Egg down the Slipway competition.
Followed by the Egg & Spoon Race & the 3-legged Race.

Loads of Easter Eggs to win, so come and join us for some fun.

What a fantastic response. Thank you all for your kind wishes on our 40 years here at North Ledaig and the photos so far. Great to see them. Please keep them rolling in, and we will make a gallery.
I have a slight amendment to make to the number of beech hedging trees we planted over the winter. I got carried away with the number of zeros! It is 1,000 trees, not 10,000!. But still a lot of trees. I forgot to mention that we are also planting 3 Snake Bark Maple trees which were given to us by Taynuilt Trees, ( who supplied the beech hedging). They have been grown from seed collected over 2 years ago. Hopefully they will resist our seaside climate and grow to a height of about 8 - 10 feet in a few years.
it's another lovely sunny day here today and the weather prospects look good for the Easter weekend. Hope to see you all here.

Hello Everyone. We opened for the 2023 season on Friday 31st March. Yesterday on 1st April it was 40 years ago that we started here at North Ledaig, on what was Good Friday that year in 1983. A lot of things have happened since then!
To celebrate our 40 years here we are looking for photos and other memorabilia etc. of the bygone years and we will then post them here for everyone to see and remember the caravan park as it was when we took over.
For those of you who have already arrived you will see we have done a lot of work this winter, with new windows and a new door in the shop together with the new chiller unit. We have planted 10,000 beech trees for hedging round the park, removing the fencing and softening the landscape, with more planting at the end of the season. We hope you like all the improvements.
I have photos from over the winter to add but I will do that later. I have had trouble logging into the page but I think I've got it sorted now.
There will be Easter competitions for all next week so watch this page!
