Proper Dartmoor Tours can be booked by email or by phone, subject to other bookings we operate seven days of the week. If you are staying locally we can pick you up for your tour and then at the end of the day drop you back, alternatively we have parking available if you are a little further afield. The tours normally start between 9:30 and 10:00 calling in at a Dartmoor pub for a bite of lunch an
d then if requested heading back via a cream tea stop to arrive back between 16:00 and 17:00, food and drinks are not included in any tour price. The tours can be tailored to suit the requirements of our Guests, however whether you choose a tailored package or just let Tich show you around some of the lesser known moor you will have a great day. There are sights to see, these may include hut circles, medieval field systems, parish churches, stone crosses, clapper bridges and of course Dartmoor tors. We use a luxury 7 seat Land Rover which means we can take you along main roads, small narrow moor lanes or even off-road! This is a quality tour of Dartmoor by someone who knows the moor, its history and a large number of the characters that live there. You will hear stories, anecdotes and tales you will not find in a guide book, you will benefit from Tich's personal experience of a lifetime spent on Dartmoor. We will usually stop quite regularly for you to take full advantage of the stunning scenery, wonderful village architecture or even visit a gift shop. There will be ample chance for you to take photos should you wish, to ensure you will always remember your Proper Dartmoor Tour!
