A huge aquarium inaugurated by King Salman in 2019.

The King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah is home to the world's largest airport aquarium. It's a massive cylindrical tank located in the arrivals area of the new terminal.

Here are the key details:

Dimensions: It stands 14 meters tall (about a 4-story building) with a 10-meter diameter.

Capacity: Holds 1 million liters of water at 26°C.

Wildlife: Home to over 2,000 species, including sharks, rays, eels, and sea turtles from the Red Sea.

The aquarium was designed to create a calming "ocean therapy" experience, helping to ease the stress of travel as soon as passengers arrive. It’s an amazing sight as soon as you come across it.
