Discover Ormskirk is looked after by members of the Ormskirk Town Centre Management Group who have been tasked with delivering a strategy so that Ormskirk and our wider Visitor Economy continues to thrive, for the people of West Lancashire and visitors to the town. others. We wants you to experience our friendly town during your visit, but please remember:

There’s plenty happening across the weekend, including live battle reenactments, living-history camps, craft stalls, food vendors and family activities.

If you can’t make it today, there’s still another chance tomorrow from 11am to 4pm.

The Ormskirk Medieval Festival returns 9–10 May with thrilling battle re‑enactments, traditional craft demonstrations and authentic medieval displays.
A free weekend event for all ages, organised by West Lancashire Borough Council with Historia Noramanni.

🌻 Over 1,000 crochet sunflowers take over Ormskirk Civic Hall

A huge display of handmade sunflowers is now on show outside The Civic, created by local residents ahead of Calendar Girls the Musical.

The installation marks 55 years of Pleasure Folk AMS and brings the community together for a great cause. A special charity calendar has also been produced, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.

🚴Tour de France 2027 is coming to West Lancashire!

We are thrilled that West Lancashire will play a part in one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

📅Stage 2 takes place on Saturday, 3 July , 2027 where riders will pass through our Borough before a big finish on the Liverpool waterfront.

Expect colour, noise and an unforgettable atmosphere as the peloton powers towards Liverpool. More details will follow as we get closer to the event.

Pleasure Folk AMS celebrate 55 years this coming April with Calendar Girls the Musical at The Civic, Ormskirk from Thursday 23 April to Sunday 26 April 2026.

The group have created a 2026–2027 charity calendar to support Cancer Research UK. You can buy a copy for £10 from:
• Cancer Research UK shop, Burscough Street
• O’Briens Tea Rooms
• Hope Street
• Bright Orthodontics
• Elementary Hairdressers

A community art project will transform the front of The Civic with crocheted sunflowers during show week. To donate handmade sunflowers, contact Millie at [email protected]
