I hope you and your families are keeping well?
You may have heard in the media and perhaps seen on our social feeds, that there is a petition, asking the Government to reverse their decision to abolish Tax Free sales at Airports and the VAT Retail Export Scheme.
This is something we feel strongly about. Both schemes support the UK tourism industry, as well as UK employment. Did you know that we would be the only country in the world not offering the ‘no VAT Export Scheme’, this will undoubtedly have a huge impact on tourism, encouraging international visitors to choose other shopping destinations instead of visiting the UK. The knock effect of this will impact retail, hospitality and tourism at a time when we are already trying to recover from the ongoing impacts of COVID-19.
An article here from the BBC explains it well… Ending VAT-free shopping 'will hit UK tourism and retail' - BBC News
If you haven’t done so already, please support by signing the petition using the link below:

Thank you. We are looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
The government has decided to remove the airside extra-statutory concession for tax free sales at airports and withdraw the VAT Retail Export Scheme for international visitors. Sign the petition to reverse the decision!
