The events of the past year have taught us many things, including the fact that being able to spend quality time with family and friends has never felt so important.

We've missed exploring the world with the people that mean the most to us and as we look forward, I'll keep your wellbeing at the heart of everything I do.

I hope you enjoy reliving your travel memories with us as you watch our film, and when you're ready to travel again, I'll be here for you, both for trips around the UK, and to distant shores

I for one feel very emotional watching and listening to this , and hope you do too.

Now that Boris is giving the thumbs up to domestic travel from 12th APR, maybe it's time to plan your summer. Already a lot of interest in escaping to beyond your back garden.:

Final day in and around Rotorua. first stop was the best 90 mins of fun at the 3D Trick Art Gallery. A must if you are visiting. Followed by a visit to Waimangu Volcanic Valley and a wander around Rotorua.

Headed north to Taupo and onto Rotorua via Huka Falls and one of the many thermal areas. Talk about 4 seasons in one day. One minute it was lovely and hot and the next we got absolutely soaked. A good varied day though

A day exploring the Tongariro National Park with a couple of cheat photos thrown in to show how beautiful it is. We weren’t quite so
lucky with the weather but a good temperature to be out walking.

A day wandering around Whanganui, which proved to be better than anticipated. Nice old buildings and great views. Found a pretty lake and a wild beach nearby. So all in all a good place to stop for a couple of nights.

Walked my feet off today exploring the Art Deco area of Napier and waterfront. Quite different from any other place we’ve seen here. Napier was rebuilt in 1931 after a massive earthquake. It has an old fashioned charm to it. Art Deco pics ....!

A stroll around Gisbourne before heading south to Napier. Found the place where Capt Cook landed and so the birth of ‘modern’ NZ began. Undulating pretty scenery all around and down to Napier with dark sandy wild beaches. A complete contrast to last year on South Island we hit 30c today with melting tarmac along the way!

Took a very long drive around the East Cape to Gisborne stopping for pictures of course. The most Easterly point is East Cape where the sun rises on the first bit of land in NZ. Surprisingly hilly along the route with plenty of wild empty beaches.
