For visitors, Oxford’s graduation ceremonies are a glimpse into centuries of tradition. From academic dress and Latin to the magnificent surroundings of the Sheldonian Theatre, every detail reflects the University’s remarkable history.

It made this ceremony especially meaningful for me, as I watched my son, Dr Luke Rickard MEng, DPhil (Oxon), graduate. A proud family moment and a wonderful reminder that Oxford’s traditions are very much alive.

Filming today inside beautiful Exeter College, Oxford for a programme to be broadcast in the US about Endeavour! This is from the fellows garden which has the most commanding views over Radcliffe Square. It was a very privileged position!

The show must go on! On the hottest day of the year, I was still out and about and met the lovely Jason and Alice who were on my Morse tour and had this to say 'We'd really been looking forward to the tour and you were just amazing'. I just love guiding and sharing my stories with the groups I meet!

Lovely group of ice skates from Ohio today. Met early at Heathrow as they landed then whirlwind visit to Windsor and Oxford before waving them off and onwards to Nottingham
