Oxford Folk Club

Oxford Folk Club The Oxford Folk Club first opened in 1988 It is a small and friendly club which happens on 2 or 3 Fridays in the month.

We try and make it the first and third Friday, but it depends on room availability, Bank Holidays etc. Although the club has always had a leaning towards traditional music, we welcome all performers, and are happy to have singer - song writers and blues players among our regular performers as well as enthusiasts of English, Scottish and Irish traditional music. In recent months we have been based

at the Port Mahon pub in St Clements, but as this is no longer possible for the moment, we are intending to try out one or two new venues, starting with the upstairs room at the British Legion Club, Hadow Road, New Marston. We hope to be there fairly regularly, but we will not always be able to do 1st and 3rd Fridays there. So keep an eye on the page and also the website www.oxfordfolkclub.com to be sure about when and where the club will be happening. Or email [email protected]

As we will be paying for hire of the room at the British Legion we are suggesting that a cash contribution of £3 - £4 might be appropriate. This will obviously have to be more if we get some guest nights going again. The good news for drivers is that there is plenty of free parking there.
