For a fun-filled family day out on Saturday September 12th, why not head over to Enys Gardens in Penryn for The Great Cornish Heritage Festival - Awenek!
This one-day festival organised by Cornwall Heritage Trust is packed with an array of hands-on activities, demonstrations, re-enactments and performances showcasing everything that makes Cornwall special. You can see Bronze Age axe-making in action, explore an Early Medieval encampment, try your hand at Cornish wrestling or sit back and enjoy traditional sea shanties that have been sung across the centuries. Everyone is invited to join in the one hour community beach clean at our local beach, Constantine Bay, at 10am this Sunday 6th September. Led by the fantastic local Beach Guardians, these community cleans always amaze with the amount of litter and variety of items which are picked up and prevented from entering the sea. It’s a great opportunity to get involved helping to protect the local marine environment and wildlife whilst enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery. Happy National Dog Day! Today is all about celebrating our absolute favourite furry family members. Our canine guests will hopefully have the most ‘pawfect’ day at our dog friendly luxury retreat. What better than a short stroll to nearby Constantine Bay for a play on the sand and in the cooling sea, before heading back for a rest on the deck with a doggy treat. Whether you want to paddle in the shallows, run around with your dog or grab a bodyboard, this beach is perfect for everyone. If you are looking to catch your first wave you can book surfing lessons too. The beach is RNLI lifeguarded during the day so you can enjoy the water with total peace of mind.
