I was quite surprised today as the town was extremely busy with nearly deads and newly weds but all in all it was still a very enjoyable experience. I had 8 terrific guests who were a lot of fun. I was joined by Paul and Jo, Angela and Peter, Graham and Carol and lastly Margaret and Craig.

Having said all that, what a terrific gang you all were. It was a real joy to host all 16 of you on today’s walk. I love doing this! You guys make it!

What a lovely History Walk today. I thought we were going to be soaked but no, the sun came out and it was a glorious morning. Six great guests today. David and Clare, Rachel and John and Sharon and Paul joined me on an historical wander around Padstow and most pleasant it was too.

Afternoon all. Had a terrific gang of people today on the History Walk!

Six of them were Pardoes from Maine in NE United States and related to John Pardoe the Liberal party politician for North Cornwall. He is now 92 years old, so well done to him.

Unusually for the walk, I had some youngsters within the group but apart from some initial yawns, they were great fun and asked some brilliant questions. One asked me, “What do guardsmen in London keep under their bearskin helmets? Their lunch?” Fabulous question.

Sadly two of my booked guests couldn’t make it as Sue had toothache so had visit the dentist. Get better soon Sue. Next time you are in Padstow, let me know and I’ll do the walk for you and Derek.

It’s a bit late for today’s post but as usual the Padstow History Walk will be going ahead tomorrow despite the weather being less than clement! I have a fair few booked in but there is always room for a few more. Meet us just before 11am at White Shelter.

Just finished a lovely, quiet History Walk around Padstow with Tracey and Andrew and Rianka, David and Tess.

What a joy they all were too. The two couples got on very well together. Lovely to hear them chatting away.

Now that some of the kids have gone back to their various schools, taking parents with them, the whole of the town is a lot emptier and easier to navigate!

All in all a very pleasant morning. Thanks
