Having successfully unloaded my finest Pilchards in Estonia, I didn’t leave empty-handed — we picked up some fine furs and amber in Tallinn.

Now, having sailed onwards to Stockholm, I consulted with the local merchants of Gamla Stan. With furs and amber already secured, the obvious next acquisition seemed to be some of the finest Scandinavian timber. ⚓️🐟🦌🪵

After this ethereal trade mission aboard my ghost ship, in just over a week we’ll be back in Padstow, and I’ll once again be ready to lead the living around its streets.

Just two ports left to visit… watch this space! 👻⚓️

And if you fancy joining me when I return, come and discover the darker side of Padstow on The Ghost Walk Padstow. Book your place now and join me after dark… if you dare! 👻🌙

⚓ Thomas Rawlings lands in Tallinn…

Well now, I’ve sailed all the way from Padstow to Tallinn with a rather fine cargo of Cornish pilchards! 🐟

Naturally, I’ve been trying to interest the good people of Tallinn in a little trade.

But the question is… what have they got that a Cornish trader might want in return? 🤔

I’m thinking furs, amber, perhaps some fine Baltic timber… though I’m always open to a particularly good bargain!

After all, a man doesn’t sail halfway across Europe with a hold full of pilchards without expecting to come home with something.

So, what would YOU trade for a barrel of the finest Padstow pilchards?

⚓️ Thomas Rawlings — Padstow trader, currently doing business in Tallinn, Estonia. 🇪🇪🐟

The Ghost Walk Padstow is taking a 2-week hiatus! 👻⚓
I’m heading off on a trade mission to Scandinavia in my role as Vice Consol. How am I pulling off a round trip in two weeks on an 1800s ship? Simple—it’s a ghost ship! Turns out full spectral sails cut down travel time significantly.
See you all back in Padstow in two weeks!

Two walks, two rather different backdrops, and another fine evening spent uncovering the stranger side of Padstow… 👻🕯️

Our first photograph was taken at **Prideaux Place**, with its grand old surroundings providing a suitably atmospheric setting for tales of Padstow’s past and the things that may still linger there. 🌳👀

The second was taken later on **historic Duke Street**, where centuries of merchants, sailors and townsfolk have passed through — and where, after dark, one can’t help wondering who else might be keeping us company. 👻

My sincere thanks to all the brave souls who joined me on this evening’s two walks. As always, it was a pleasure to have your company, and I’m pleased to report that everyone was returned safely to the harbour.

Now, however, there shall be a brief pause in our ghostly investigations. **The Ghost Walk Padstow is taking a two-and-a-half-week hiatus**, with our next walk taking place on **Sunday 13th September**.

Why, you may ask?

Because I, **Thomas Rawlings**, must undertake a most important **trade mission to Scandinavia**! ⚓️🇸🇪🇳🇴🇩🇰

I cannot yet reveal the precise nature of my business. Merchants must, after all, keep some secrets.

Until my return… keep an eye on the shadows. 👀🕯️

Two more lovely photographs from this evening’s two wanders through the shadows of Padstow… 👻🕯️

One taken amongst the ancient stones of **St Petroc’s Churchyard**, where centuries of Padstow’s past lie all around us. ⛪

The other beside the harbour, where the town has watched ships, sailors, merchants and visitors come and go for generations. ⚓🌙

My sincere thanks to another wonderful group of brave souls for joining me in search of Padstow’s ghosts, myths, legends and stranger stories. It was a pleasure to have your company.

And, once again, I’m pleased to report that everyone was safely returned to the harbour at the end of the evening…

At least, I believe everyone was. 👀👻

At **8pm on Sunday evening**, these fine and fearless folk set off at dusk on another ghostly wander around the ancient streets of Padstow… 👻🕯️

With darkness gathering and the harbour slipping behind us, we went in search of old stories, strange happenings and perhaps the occasional restless spirit.

Pictured here at the end of the evening, I’m pleased to report that **everyone was returned safely to Padstow Harbour**. 🙂

Or at least, everyone who set off with me… 👀👻

My sincere thanks to another wonderful group for joining me on the walk. It was a pleasure to have your company.

**An extra walk at 8pm tonight — by popular demand!** 👻

And what a lovely evening to go wandering through Padstow’s darker history.

Here we all are at **Padstow Harbour**, with the moon making a rather splendid appearance behind us over the Old Custom House. 🌕⚓️

My sincere thanks to this brave band of souls for joining me on an unexpected late-evening expedition into the shadows. It seems Padstow’s ghosts are proving rather popular at the moment — and who am I to disappoint them? 🕯️

A wonderful group, a beautiful night, and thankfully everyone appears to have made it safely back to the harbour.

Though with a moon like that, I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if a few extra shadows came along for the walk… 👻

Another evening, another gathering of brave souls willing to explore the darker side of Padstow… 👻🕯️

Our first photograph was taken during the **6pm walk**, with the beautiful **Prideaux Place Deer Park** as our backdrop. A peaceful setting, although one can’t help wondering what shadows may linger amongst those ancient trees… 🌳👀

The second photograph was captured during the **8pm walk** beside **St Petroc’s Church**, where centuries of Padstow’s history surround us. A rather fitting place to pause and listen for whispers from the past. ⛪✨

My sincere thanks to everyone who joined me on my merry quest to uncover the ghostly tales, curious legends and forgotten stories hidden within this ancient harbour town.

It was a pleasure to share Padstow’s secrets with you all — and I’m pleased to report that everyone returned safely… though I cannot vouch for whether every spirit decided to stay behind. 👻

Until our next wander through the shadows…

Two photographs. Two walks. Two miles. … 👻

The first was taken at around 7:20pm on historic Duke Street, Padstow, with the evening still full of light and our first band of brave souls on their return to the harbour. 🕯️

The second was taken at around 9:35pm, after the later walk had finished. By then the light had gone, the shadows were longer, and our wonderful brave souls — and their hounds — had survived another evening with Thomas Rawlings. 👻🐕‍🦺🐕

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us tonight. It was positively joyous having you along, and I’m pleased to report that everyone appears to have made it back in one piece.

Although I make no promises about what followed them home… 😉
