No repeat of the previous nights northern lights in the skies over the South West.
However, any excuse to take a sunset into darkness walk down around St Agnes headland & it's heritage tin mine trails on the cliffs.
A sky full of stars.

Never thought I'd be able to sit on my front porch, sipping a cup of tea & watching the northern lights slowly slink across the sky.... in Paignton, South Devon!

A simple phone shot, not even on any sort of tripod, just handheld for a few seconds.

Humbled.

House Music.

Today the national lost a true trail blazer & ambassador of house music recognised globally as one of the pioneers in bringing the genre to the masses.
Annie Nightingale was there from the start.
Before Pete Tong, before Carl Cox, Danny Rampling & many more.

She was there throwing down dance tracks that left all scratching their heads at the beginning. Weird and truly genre defining music that didn't just pave the way for future artists, she made those future artists.
Playing their tracks on late night national radio before app listening, internet radio & podcasts.
She saw through the transition from vinyl to the cassette, cd & all formats of sound.
She got me through two bouts of glandular fever when my sleep patterns were way off & I was listening to her middle of the night shows and 'taping' tracks that blew my mind back then.
Raising a glass to Annie Nightingale this evening.
