It’s Game On as 2026 Summer of Sport launches across Renfrewshire

£20 million Scottish Government investment will give young people the chance to get involved in different sporting activities on their doorstep

Young people across Renfrewshire are joining in the excitement of Scotland’s sensational summer of sport.

Free and low-cost events designed to open opportunities for everyone are being held across the region after OneRen secured funding from sportscotland as part of a landmark national campaign.

✅ One-to-one support – Practical help developing ideas and projects

Renfrew Community Council Launches Best Garden Contest 2026

Community pride is blooming in Renfrew! The council has launched a new garden competition celebrating local effort, creativity, and civic spirit across the town.

This isn't just about perfect gardens—it's about recognizing residents who brighten their streets, care for shared spaces, and make their community welcoming. Front gardens, balconies, patios, window boxes, planters, and shared spaces are all welcome.

£200 prize for the winner. Entries close 5 July 2026.
