Well, Fans of this Page - should, or will possibly be aware that Ive now been made a Retiree' off the Railways - due to ill health , and have ended my Career with the Company after 33 years....
I was simply unable to continue to work, as my health was hit hard , and shall be , for rest of my time on this Earth- and i couldnt or rather struggled to do most things i needed to do , to do the Job ...Therefore after a length period off sick with other factors and the diagnosis of MG , it was deceided by NWR to sever my contract and for me to go....
My last day in Service was the 21st of June- and i left my role i had loved serving ....
My Thanks go out to All friends local and distant , i met on the Job- and those residents, visitors and neighbourly dog walkers and ramblers, cyclists etc that became pals with me...
I wish you all a happy time of life and health ...and Thanks for the memories..

Well here it is....The Crossing has had a reprieve , and is staying Operational for another 12 months at least....
Closure approx 2023 now .....
Suppose us Xing Kprs should be a little thankful - keeping our roles for a bit longer now....

I always thought you went bald AFTER capturing a Mate'....not while trying to...
Anyway...its healthy- flying and eating ok....just ugly...😊😁

well its 17 years ago today that i passed out @ the Crossing....lot of stuff has happened in all that time....been married and Divorced and found a lady i love more than any before....Cath changed my Life ....made me richer in lifestyle and in the financial side too...so i Bless and love her for that.....
Friends and residents come and gone and i have trained and taught a few Staff guys too here- those moving on to better jobs etc...
Some nxt door Box Staff have come and gone- same as Boss'es too....
Dont know how long Career will continue here- as the proverbial closure rears its ugly head over us....but looks like that head is goin to keep up there.....one will see??- but in the years ive been here - Steve STILL AINT MOVED INTO THE CROSSING COTTAGE YET..!! .....😂😂😊👍Happy Easter...And stay safe..

Well in an hour it'll be 2021....well i hope its a better year than the outgoing one...if only to let some Staff do a bit o' Work here....😜😂....but in alls said, its a big bad virus thats caused most of this woe.....but all i can say is to Wish Patrons of this site page a Happy and Safe New Year 2021 ...and to give thought to Gaz( one of our relief Xing keepers )- - who has dropped the Shifts that I myself shudda been on...and has such a risky drive home at 6am due to falling snow as it is now doing....

Well its a Goodbye to these old " noddin dogs" as us railway staff called em...The last ever Pacer ran yesterday and they were officially retired from Service at 17.45 hrs yesterday....
I travelled on these AND Signalled them on my lines base @ Parbold a d of late here at the Chapel....over the years....👍😊

Well at the mo..Beano the Crossin kpr is off and has been now for a few weeks....Ongoing knee joints probs...pain is only 1/2 the issue...its fatigue and the wait for investigation with a Hospital bone dr thats draggin...beside his right.leg..😅

Just to make anyone aware that using the Crossing while I MYSELF is there on Duty ...may rest assured that the Crossing Gates and Pedestrian Gates will be Sanitised with Solution for Our and your own Safety....

**WEDNESDAY...19 FEB.2020**....
Well....after 30 years of getting up at 04.30 and in some times an hour earlier ....and in all weathers and weekends and nights.....and suffered Verbal Abuse- Suicides on situ and impossible and un- normal things like Power cuts / Danger to Life aspects ( like lone working!!) Cold Weather and as late horrid stench of Death from poisoned Rodents !etc etc ..the Firm i have felt proud to do all this for in all those years ....has decided to let the occasion slip by without a simple Local Managers Pat on the back or handshake or a Thanks Colleague Letter for all those years of Loyal Service......well all i can say is....
CHEERS NETWORKRAIL FOR THAT ....NICE TO KNOW I COUNT even tho im just a humble Crossing Keeper.......!!!- 😕😪.......
