πHappy Volunteers' Week!π
This week, we're celebrating the incredible people who give their time, energy, and enthusiasm to help protect and connect others with our marine environment π
We're especially proud of our Year in Industry students, who have dedicated the past year to supporting marine conservation, education, and responsible wildlife tourism here in Pembrokeshire.
They joined us in July 2025 just in time for shark season and have since become a huge part of the Celtic Deep team. From assisting on wildlife trips and collecting valuable marine megafauna data, to sharing their passion for the ocean with participants. They've contributed countless hours to conservation and public engagement.
Alongside their day-to-day roles, they've led and supported a variety of projects. They've helped deliver our Wildlife on One Breath programme, inspired local school pupils through marine wildlife presentations, and encouraged people of all ages to connect with and care for the ocean.
They've also represented Celtic Deep at community events, collaborated with organisations including Project Seagrass and Sea Trust, and taken part in opportunities to learn from conservation practitioners across Wales.
With puffin season well underway, they're continuing to build their experience as assistant guides, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with guests, and playing a vital role ensuring everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Volunteers, interns, placement students, citizen scientists, and community supporters all play a vital role in conservation. This Volunteers' Week, we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helps turn wildlife encounters into conservation action.
Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming volunteer/work experience opportunities with Celtic Deep π¦π¦π
