Hi! I’m Barny and this is Meg…
Apparently I need to reintroduce myself on here occasionally…?
I’m the human face behind the horses, the wagons and the vintage fairground rides that make up Wanderlusts…
(Amongst other things) I’ve been building, renovating, buying, selling and travelling with horses and wagons for the last quarter century or thereabouts. Travelling the highways and byeways of England, Scotland and France.
I live completely off grid in the foothills of the Pennines, overlooking the Eden Valley and Lake District fells with my two sons and my horses.
My aim with Wanderlusts is to offer people a little of what I’ve been lucky enough to experience over the years on the road and camped up. Whether it’s travelling with the horses, retreating from the world to be amongst nature, getting away from it all and sitting around the fire with a few friends or family.
Guests have been coming on Wanderlusts escapes and adventures over the last 15 or so years for all sorts of reasons from all walks of life and from all over the world!
I’ve more recently been aquiring a few vintage fairground rides that are available for hire for almost any occasion!
