Havana flip paint on a Land Rover Defender — one car, two colours.

Jeep Wrangler vs Land Rover Defender — a Defender specialist tried both.

When Land Rover announced classic Defender production would end in 2016, Nene Overland had to work out what came next. For a while the answer was Jeep, with 15 to 20 brand new Wranglers in the yard.

It taught them what a brand is actually worth. The Wrangler does plenty well and some things better. It just doesn't attract the same customer, and in the UK the badge isn't there.

Land Rover Discovery reliability then vs now — two engines and three gearboxes.

That was a Series 2 or 3 Discovery in the 1990s. He's had three new Land Rover Defenders since, a P300 and now a P350, and says none has let him down.

It's the counter-argument to everything else people told us at the Game Fair: the old ones had character, the new ones actually start.

What's the one vehicle you'd never sell? We asked a hundred thousand people at a country show.

Almost nobody named a price. Farmers, land managers and gamekeepers who negotiate for a living went quiet when the question stopped being about specs and started being about which one they'd keep.
