This is what I mean when I talk about the heart of Sani! 💙

I’m down at Sani Marina, giving you a little look around. Restaurants overlooking the boats, boutiques to browse and such a lovely setting for a wander. You can really picture yourself here, deciding where to stop for dinner.

Some of the restaurants here are part of Sani’s half board Dine Around programme too, so it’s something I’d talk you through when helping you plan your stay.

We went out looking for wildlife. We came back with a memory I’ll treasure forever.

Earlier that afternoon at Shamwari, we had watched cheetahs on a successful hunt. Then, as evening fell, we came across this mother and her newborn calf. Its umbilical cord was still visible.

Watching her bend down towards her little one was such a privilege. James and I have been lucky enough to experience some wonderful safaris, but moments like this still stop me in my tracks.

That’s what I love about Africa. You never know what the next game drive will bring, or which moment will stay with you long after you’re home.

Well, that’s not a bad welcome, is it? 💙

I’ve just arrived at Sani Club in Halkidiki, and had to show you that sunset through the trees before I do anything else!

I’m here as a guest of the Sani team, catching up with them, finding out what’s new and having a proper look around.

Being a Sani Ambassador means I get opportunities like this to keep my knowledge fresh, and there’s always something useful to bring home. I love being able to answer your questions with “I’ve just been, let me tell you!”

And if you’re anything like me, it’s often the little things you want to know. What does it feel like when you arrive? Which room would you choose? Where would you spend your evening?

When I photographed these cheetahs at Shamwari in September last year, they were tiny cubs tucked close to their mum. I never imagined that just over a year later, I’d be watching those same siblings hunting together.

On our first afternoon back, we watched four of them stalking antelope. Each seemed to have a part to play, spreading out and moving closer as the animals changed direction. It was fascinating, but that time they went without a meal.

Our ranger explained that he and the team had been following their progress, watching them learn with every attempt.

The following afternoon, we found them again. This time, they caught a blesbok.

It was an intense thing to witness. You feel for the animal being hunted, of course, but having seen these cheetahs as vulnerable little cubs, watching them learning to fend for themselves felt particularly special.

That’s something I love about returning to Shamwari. We weren’t simply seeing more wildlife. We were picking up a story we’d been lucky enough to see the beginning of.

Two visits, just over a year apart, and photographs I’ll always treasure.

Home from South Africa, and I’d go back tomorrow in a heartbeat.

James and I have had the most wonderful adventure. Ch*****ne at the top of Table Mountain, a helicopter flight along that breathtaking coastline, penguins, a beach picnic… and that was just Cape Town!

But anyone who knows me will know how much I love safari. Sitting in an open vehicle, camera ready, wondering what might appear around the next corner is a feeling I never tire of.

Shamwari gave us so many moments I’ll treasure. Lions walking right beside us. Zebra glowing in the evening light. A newborn giraffe, just minutes into its life. And elephants walking past our rooms on our final morning. Honestly, I could talk about it for hours.

Then came the Winelands, with beautiful mountain scenery, lovely afternoons tasting wines and wandering through Franschhoek’s shops and galleries. A few bottles are coming home, along with a small sculpture we couldn’t resist!

We’ve returned with so much to share, including the little details that help turn a lovely holiday into something truly special.

I've just returned from another incredible adventure in Costa Rica, and what a beautiful country it is!

From the lush rainforests and incredible wildlife to the wonderful people and unforgettable experiences, there's so much to love about this part of the world.

I've been lucky enough to visit Costa Rica before, but this latest trip has reminded me just how special it is. I've come home with even more tips, recommendations and favourite places to share.
