North York Moors Railway is a great day out for everyone. If you stay at Beacon Cottage, you can hear the all the sounds of the steam trains as the railway is just a few minutes walk away 🚂

Beautiful evening in Whitby 😍

A few miles from Beacon Cottage on the road to Whitby, you’ll find the Hole of Horcum, one of the most well known spots in the North Yorkshire Moors. Park at the car park on A169 and cross the road for a stunning view. If you’re feeling energetic, there are a few good circular walks from the car park including via the beautiful village of Levisham where you can stop for a drink and a bite to eat at The Horseshoe Inn.
