The National Park Authority recently shared this eye-opening video showing just how hot disposable BBQs get, and how easily they can cause hidden, underground peat fires.

Because we are right on the edge of the moors, we have decided to remove disposable BBQs from sale at Rocklands Lodges.

🔥 For our staying guests: You are still more than welcome to enjoy a summer cookout! We have 3 permanent brick BBQs on site for you to use, as well as designated steel tables if you bring your own elevated, reusable BBQ.

We just ask that you leave the disposable ones at home, keep all grilling on-site, and safely dispose of cool ash in our dedicated metal bins. Thank you for helping us keep our stunning countryside safe! 💚
