We talk a lot about the photographs.
The wildlife. The light. The landscapes. The once-in-a-lifetime encounters.
But there’s another part of photography tours that rarely gets talked about.
It’s what happens between the shots.
The early mornings when everyone is half awake and running on coffee. The long drives. The waiting. The missed moments. The laughter. The excitement when someone beside you gets the image they’ve been hoping for.
It’s being surrounded by people who understand why you’ll stand in the cold, sit quietly for hours or get ridiculously excited when an animal finally looks your way.
And somewhere in all of that, strangers start becoming friends.
Those friendships can become one of the most unexpected and meaningful parts of the entire experience.
Because years later, you may remember the photograph.
But you’ll also remember exactly who was standing beside you when you took it.
