Following the granting of planning approval in January, the Rhydycar West project is now in the delivery stage.

The next stage of the project will include two key phases: the pre-construction phase followed by the construction phase.

The pre-construction phase, which is now underway, will involve detailed collaboration with the Council, technical specialists, and other key stakeholders to progress the extensive planning and preparation work required ahead of construction. This will include detailed interior design, technical coordination, infrastructure planning, and wider project development activities. The pre-construction phase is estimated to take around 18-24 months.

Following this, the development will proceed to the construction phase where the resort will be built. The construction period is estimated to be around three years, and the resort is currently targeting to open in late 2030.

We know there has been significant public interest since January, and we want to reassure the community that a huge amount of work has been happening and is continuing behind the scenes as we move through these next important phases of development. We are particularly excited about the opportunities this project will create for local businesses, local people, and the wider region in the years ahead. In addition, the significant jobs that will be created for locals.

We reiterate our commitment to work with local businesses, suppliers and the wider community throughout both the construction and operational phases of the development. Businesses and individuals interested in future partnerships and opportunities connected with the project are encouraged to now register their interest by contacting the team through the project website at: www.rhydycarwest.com.

Construction is about to begin on the Skyline Swansea project. 🚧

Earthworks will soon start on Kilvey Hill to prepare the site for the downhill karting 'luge' tracks, and groundworks will shortly begin at Landore Park & Ride for the cable car base station.

Kilvey Hill remains open to the public throughout. Fencing will be installed around active worksites to protect the health & safety of workers and members of the general public - a map of fencing and access routes is available at:
https://skylineswansea.co.uk/

The Park & Ride and Penderyn Distillery will remain open as usual, though the number of available parking spaces at the Park & Ride will be reduced while works are underway. We will provide updates as the works progress.

We are immensely proud to announce that we have officially purchased Afan Mountain Lodge.

Our ambition is to revitalise and reopen the hotel, bar, and restaurant — bringing our own style while celebrating everything that makes this place so special.

A huge thank you to Pencymmoedd Community Fund, Development Bank of Wales and Neath Port Talbot Council for their ongoing support in helping make this incredible project possible.

We’re so excited to begin this new chapter. Join us for the journey.

Sick and tired of endless moaning about the situation.
Join our family in DIRECT ACTION

The kids and I are going to write messages/posters to Welsh Water and string them to the treatment works.

Please help us to COVER their gates with your messages and show Welsh Water our anger in one place at one time.

If you can't make it at 4pm then string your messages any time before.

We've SUPped through a sewage slick, seen sewage on the rocks, had our toddler ill after playing in cloudy rock pools, included sewage into the family business coasteering risk assessment.
Our family's experience on Brandy Cove.

Please don't leave us alone on the 31st!!
