Dorset Fire and Rescue Service Prince's Trust Team Programme This page/group is managed by Dorset Fire and Rescue Service in connection with the delivery of the Team programme.

The Team programme is a 12-week personal development programme for 16-25 year olds, the aim is simple – to enable young people to recognise and achieve their potential. Through building their confidence and motivation, Team members are encouraged to think about their futures; this includes preparing a post-programme development plan. During the 12 weeks they, uncover hidden talents, assume respons

ibility for tasks, develop team-working and communication skills, gain awareness of their local community and how they can contribute to it, develop employability skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications. During the 12 week programme, Team members are involved in activities maybe never tried before such as spending a week away at a residential activity centre, undertake a project based in their local community, complete a work placement of their choice, participate in a team challenge that involves caring for others and finally staging a team presentation, during which they recount their experiences. It's been a full week for Poole 38. They have visited local community projects. Bag packed at Tesco to raise money for their project raising £142,00. Visited Barclays House and learnt about applying for jobs. Given presentations to Synergy and Abbeylife and done work on their qualification WOW!!! But then we finished the week off with a doughnut eating competition 😄😄
