Autumn in the New Forest means one thing… pannage season is here!

This traditional pig patrol is for the piggies to enjoy a Forest feast — rooting around for acorns which can be dangerous to the Forest ponies. 🐴

So if you’re planning a late summer break - head out from Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole for a day in the New Forest. Keep your eyes peeled as you might just spot a muddy pig snaffling on an all-day buffet! 🐽 They'll be on the Forest until November. 🍁

There’s something rather special steaming into Poole next week… ❤️

The iconic paddle steamer Waverley, the world’s last seagoing passenger paddle steamer is coming to Poole Quay!

From Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 September, you can watch this magnificent piece of maritime history arrive in Poole and, if you fancy it, step aboard for a nostalgic day out on the water. 🌊⚓️

There’s something wonderfully retro about the sound of those paddles turning as the Waverley heads out to sea.

Check in. Chill out. Watch Waverley sail away. 🛳️🌊

Bank Holiday plans?

Head off to Christchurch Monday in the High Street and Saxon Square, from 9am–4pm. It has around 50 stalls, including food, fresh produce, plants, clothing, jewellery, household goods and other bits and pieces.

Enjoy a stroll around this Saxon town down to the riverside and the quay.

If you're looking for something crafty & quirky head to the Design, Collectables & Artisan Market at Poole Quay.

The weather forecast is looking ok - so Check In - Chill Out and have some Bank Holiday fun.

We have just heard that BCP Council has cancelled tonight's display due to adverse weather conditions forecast for later this evening.

An extra display is scheduled for next Friday!
