Autumn is a great time to visit Beddgelert, you’ll find it much quieter than the summer months and with an array of walks to choose from and cosy pubs to relax in afterwards, there’s plenty to keep you busy here!

Many of our guests enjoy a day trip to Anglesey during their stay and we highly recommend including a stop at Beaumaris Castle. The town has a great high street with an array of independent shops and cafes. Make sure you also visit the old jail, which has a fascinating history!

Portmeirion is beautiful at any time of the year and just 5 minutes drive from Glaslyn View • Coastal Snowdonia Holiday Cottage! Alternatively you can walk or take the steam train. With a great range of places to eat and plenty to explore and do, it makes the perfect day trip from Porthmadog (although sadly they don’t allow dogs but we can recommend a great doggy daycare option).

A visit to the picturesque town of Conwy and its magnificent castle is a highlight for many of our guests. Wander the streets filled with cafes and independent shops before exploring the castle and old town walls. There’s plenty to do here but you can also combine it with a trip to nearby Bodnant Gardens before retiring for relaxing evening back at the cottage.
