Love at first sight?
Our SKYEFARI guests are usually quite taken with the SKYEFARI 4x4 minibus, as are many passers-by on the road judging by the waves and thumbs-up we get. Louisa here couldn't resist a photo while the rest of us were looking out for eagles and otters nearby.

We do continue running our day tours over the winter but with less availability than during there summer depending on our guide's schedule elsewhere. So if you are interested please do give us as much notice as you can so we can see if our schedules align and if they do you have great chances of spotting our 'Skye Five' of both eagle species, red deer, otters and seals, all of which live here all year long on Skye.

Sometimes the locals are quite curious about what we are doing on 'their' patch!

Sheep and cattle, including of course the famous Highland cows, are something we come across quite regularly of course and they have their own character to add to the landscape of Skye. It sometimes surprises our visitors from overseas and the cities to find sheep wandering loose around the hills and back roads like these ones were. 🐑

The raven is the largest member of the crow species and you may often see them in profile or silhouette like this perched high on a hill or rocky crag. They like to frequent similar areas to the eagles and we have watched them hop around a perched white-tailed eagle in the past, trying to get a reaction from it and persuade it to move on presumably. Their raucous call is quite different to their smaller crow cousins and along with their size as well, you will quite easily spot the difference once our SKYEFARI guide has pointed them out to you.
