Annual “spot your own liferaft” competition…
Today we picked up our liferafts after their yearly independent safety inspection and servicing. These are vital pieces of safety equipment on our boats, their role is to save lives in the unlikely event that we ever have to abandon ship. Stored in compact containers until needed, they inflate rapidly using a pressurised gas cylinder.
Designed with bright, high-visibility colours and equipped with distress equipment like flares and medical supplies, liferafts are built to perform in emergencies. They’re made from tough, water-resistant materials to withstand harsh marine conditions and be ready when called upon.
