Rare Capture: The Rib-X 43C Chase boat in the Solent, 22nd January '25.

The 6.8m hard sided boat has a mid engine Yanmar paired with a Hamilton Jet Drive.

The Phantom is designed for the superyacht market or
anyone looking for a stylish open boat.

The Chase 43 is offered as an open boat, T-top or Cabin version.

The console can include heads for added onboard comfort and additional options include wetbar with twin grill, sink and fridge to provide a luxury ‘picnic’ experience.

Standard set up is with twin 400hp Verados but we offer several
alternatives to meet client requirements including Diesel
outboards or Hybrids. The 13m cabin version gives a more sheltered option whether it be from the rain, or the sun.

For hotter climates we offer a water misting system to regulate
cabin temperature. We can also add heating to the cabin.

As standard the Ullman suspension seats allow comfort in all weathers for the primary four, or six users.

Norman is our Production Manager here at Vortec Marine. He’s the newest member of the team and has integrated into the team seamlessly. Norman is organised and has fantastic attention to detail. He’s doing a great job at leading the team amongst many other things!

How long have you been in the industry? I started off producing furniture, and fitting out yachts whether it was re-fit projects or new builds. I've now been in the marine industry for 38 years including 25 years at Oyster Yachts.

What do you find most interesting about your job role? The variety of the daily tasks and working with a fantastic team of professionals delivering quality to an extremely high standard.

What do you like to do in your free time? Spending time with the children, walking our dog Harley, keeping fit and attending football matches.

Rib-X International offer a range of British designed and British built SOLAS tenders from 5.0 to 7.5 meters. The SOLAS Rescue Boat is designed to act as a man-over-board recovery boat and provide a marshalling vessel for life rafts in the event of abandoning the mother ship.

These vessels are mandatory on vessels over 500GT. SOLAS vessels are made to meet strict regulations, but ours, rather than being an orange liferaft, are made so they can also act as guest or crew tenders. This means the mothership doesn’t need both a SOLAS tender and a standard tender.

Here is a 6m SOLAS we built and shipped earlier this year.
