Always Active Day centres for older people living with dementia in various locations in
Cheshire East.

Always Active Day Centres provide support for people living with dementia, by offering a range of activities and a chance to socialise. They are based in Bramhall, Handforth, Knutsford, Macclesfield and Poynton. They're open all day and staff and volunteers organise different activities to suit and entertain the people who go there. These can include board games, bingo sessions, , craft activities

, entertainment, exercise classes, day trips and much more. Light snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon and a light two course lunch at midday.

Volunteering Opportunity in Knutsford
We are currently seeking volunteers to join Gill and the team over at Crosstown in Knutsford so we asked a couple of our truly amazing band of volunteers why they think it's a good idea.

Cathy is one of our wonderful volunteers at Always Active and this is what she has to say:
“I have been a volunteer at Always Active for 3 years now. After losing my Mum I felt lost and needed to find something to help.
Being a volunteer is a Godsend to me as its filled my day socialising and has given me something to look forward to.

I feel I am helping in some way as well as receiving love and happiness in being part of a team.The work we do is so rewarding and seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter from our visitors makes you realise you are doing a good job.
I love being in the group and feel fulfilled by what I do. If you have spare time I would highly recommend it”.

Emma was a volunteer for 2 years before she joined the staff 3 years ago and has this to say: “Join our award winning day care for the elderly with dementia and other health related conditions.
Gain valuable transferable skills and pick your own hours. Free online training course are offered. It's a great way to step back into the workplace.
Take part in activities from exercise to crafts and learn hospitality skills.
A rewarding opportunity for helping people in a unique way”.-
