Why I Started My Online Travel Business

When lockdown hit, the shop was forced to temporarily close overnight. I’d been working 70+ hour weeks, constantly on the go, and suddenly… everything stopped. Like a lot of people, I found myself with time I hadn’t had in years, so I decided to try something new.

That’s when I stumbled across an opportunity in the travel industry. I’d actually looked into working in travel before, but nothing ever felt like the right fit—it always involved years of studying or huge investments I just couldn’t justify. So when I found this, it honestly felt too good to be true… but I had nothing to lose.

I jumped in with an open mind, thinking it would be something to keep me busy. But within weeks, I realised it had the potential to be so much more.

Travel has always been a huge passion of mine, but I never had the time freedom to really enjoy it. Fast forward 6 months—I’d completed destination training, learned our booking systems, got to know our suppliers inside out… and I could see this was my way out of the rat race.

Just 4 months in, I was rewarded with my first free cruise on Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady. I was saving money on my own travel, earning income from anywhere, and loving every second of it. I've since saved thousands on our own travel bookings and had some amazing experiences being invited to hotel tours and events

Two years after starting, I made the decision to permanently close my events business and go all in on travel—and I’ve never looked back.

What I love most now is helping other women do the same. With a mentoring background, it’s second nature to guide people in building something they’re proud of—helping them create income streams, find confidence, and design a life that gives them more freedom and flexibility.

This started as a way to pass the time… and turned into a business I absolutely love.

✨I'm so excited for this✨

Most of you already know that before I closed down Partyworld Prescot , I started an online travel business that I absolutely loved.

I started out working in small pockets of time between your parties, venue dressings & event planning. After a while, I realised my passion was no longer in the shop or the event planning (plus, working 70-hour weeks was exhausting and stealing all my time! 🫣🤣). So, I gradually built up my travel business until it allowed me to step away from Partyworld completely.

Fast forward four years, and I'm still just as passionate!
This business has literally given me the freedom to travel smarter, work from home (or anywhere in the world!), and spend more time than ever with my grandkids which is priceless!

I've also built an amazing team of travel agents and love seeing them make massive changes in their lives too!
