ST KITTS | HOTEL REVIEW 🇰🇳 Timothy Beach Resort – Caribbean charm at its best!

Our first stop in St Kitts was Timothy Beach Resort, and what a lovely introduction to the island!

Set on South Frigate Bay, overlooking the Caribbean Sea, this friendly, colourful resort is all about location, character and relaxed island living.

You’re moments from the beach, with its laid-back bars and restaurants, and just a short drive from Basseterre and the airport.

The accommodation is traditional rather than luxurious, with rooms spread across the property, including the hillside. The pool has gorgeous sea views, the atmosphere is wonderfully unhurried and the sunsets? Absolutely spectacular!

What I loved most was the simplicity. No fuss, no pretence, just somewhere to slow down and enjoy the Caribbean.

WHO WOULD I RECOMMEND IT TO?

Couples, families and independent travellers who enjoy exploring and prefer authentic Caribbean charm to a large luxury resort.

MY VERDICT

A charming, affordable hotel with a fabulous location and bags of character. Sometimes the best holiday experiences aren’t about five-star luxury, but how a place makes you feel.

St Kitts… 19 years later 🇰🇳🌴

The last time I visited this beautiful island was 19 years ago, when I was based in the West Indies working on the Cricket World Cup.

Coming back after all these years has been rather special.

Of course, the island has developed, but what I love is that it hasn’t lost its soul. Unlike some Caribbean islands, St Kitts still feels wonderfully unhurried.

The people are as warm and welcoming as I remember, the pace of life is beautifully relaxed, and there’s a real sense of authenticity here.

No rush. No fuss. Just gorgeous scenery, Caribbean charm and some of the most spectacular sunsets.

And sometimes, that’s exactly what a holiday should be about.

St Kitts, it’s lovely to be back. ❤️
